Gay Marriage Photos: Kisses, Tears And Laughter At Florida’s First Gay Weddings

Gay Marriage Story Courtesy Of Jeffrey James Keyes
When Florida’s ban on gay marriage went out of fashion this week, handsome snowbirds and longtime grooms-to-be came out of the woodwork. Adorable couples like David Currie and Aaron Woodard (above) proudly stood as husband and husband at city halls and makeshift altars from Pensacola to Key West. Visit Florida sent photographers to several favorite destinations to capture images of lovers across the state as they headed to the chapel. Photographers like Willie J. Allen, Jr., Bill Serne, Joseph J. Garnett Jr., Colin Hackley, and Peter W. Cross went near and far to capture the local excitement after Florida officially became the 36th State to legalize marriage. The pictures are still rolling in, but here are some of their favorites. Congratulations to all the newlyweds!
