  • World Pride Plans are moving forward for 2012- LONDON

    Pride London organisers say plans are on course to host WorldPride in 2012.

    The event will not be affected by the 2012 Olympics, which will require around 9,000 police officers each day.

    WorldPride will be held in early July and although the Olympics will not start until July 27th, extra officers will be drafted into London weeks before the games start.

    Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis announced last year that the festival would take a break in 2012 because the vast majority of portable toilets would be in use at the Olympics, along with police staff shortages. Read Now
