Moda Cálida Gets Muy Caliente For Designer Swim

There are fashion shows, and then there are Gran Canaria Moda Cálida fashion shows. Moda Cálida fashion shows are all about warm weather fashion, but not just any warm design. Looks seen in Gran Canaria Moda Cálida fashion shows embody the islands’ bright heat and multi-cultural population. But what makes this Gran Canaria Moda Cálida 2015 show extra special? It took place during Swimwear Fashion Week. Photographer Adrian C. Martin captured the event’s designer runways, their male models, and even the backstage goings-on that got the sexy men ready for the show.
Designer Alida Dominguez’s latest line of men’s swimwear was one of the most well received. Alida Dominguez’s swim briefs actually do nature some justice with their floral prints. They are bolder, colorful, and quite possibly the most masculine floral print we’ve seen. Models Oliver Baggerman, O’Shea Robertson, and Oriol Elcacho walk the runway in Alida Dominguez and pair their swimwear with a bandolier to bring out the brief’s masculine energy. But Mauro Quintero and Juan Betancourt leave the bullets behind.
The Swimwear Fashion Week Gran Canaria Moda Cálida 2015 Show also marked the 30th anniversary of XTG. The brand has been around the block, and still has plenty of solar-powered energy to keep them on top. Their latest designs were inspired by Mexican and Brazilian culture. When it comes to designer swimwear, this means vibrant colors, narrow cuts, and a religious devotion to embracing the heat.
