The OUT 100 AWARDS is without a doubt the most popular gay event of the year… LGTB advocates, actors, singers, drag queens, models, etc. only “la crème de la crème” get to go! Fortunately for you, my name was on the list too – How you doin’?
We got off to a good start when Michael Urie (our host) introduced the first performer: overly hot and sexy country sensation Steve Grand. This guy is not only extremely handsome but also incredibly talented. I don’t know how I managed to keep my hands to myself when I met him. #papasito
The glamorous Edie Windsor, Lifetime Achievement honoree, gave a great speech; the Reader’s Choice Winner was Laverne Cox; and one of the biggest surprises of the night was Mariah Carey – Yes! You read that right. (Mimi accepted the award for Lee Daniels, Artist of the Year.) – Bravo, Out Magazine!
The music entertainment continued when Charlie XCX came on stage and rocked our socks off. Mia Moretti and Margot of The Dolls also gave a fantastic show. It’s worth mentioning the stylish DJ Jonjon Battles, who kept dancing with his beats.
Actress Lea Delaria, Broadway performer Billy Porter, celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek, Murray Bartlett, Jonathan Groff, and Frankie J. Alvarez of HBO’s Looking also attended the 19th Annual OUT 100 Awards.
The major moment of the OUT 100 2013 was Debbie Harry, who took us back to the disco times when she performed “Heart of Glass” and “Call Me.” Wow! I can’t believe I got to see her performing live; what an extraordinary experience.
Not just a pretty face
