A Christian pastor in Arizona is making headlines around the world after sharing his solution for curing the 35 million people currently living with HIV/AIDS: execute all gay people.

Steven Anderson, the pastor for the Faithful Word Baptist Church, delivered a sermon on Nov. 30 where he revealed his plan for achieving an AIDS-free world by Christmas, with some help from the Bible of course.

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them,” quoted Steven Anderson from Leviticus 20:13.

“It was right there in the Bible all along — and they’re out spending billions of dollars in research and testing. It’s curable — right there. Because if you executed the homos like God recommends, you wouldn’t have all this AIDS running rampant,” he added. “It wouldn’t be totally AIDS-free, but we’d be like 90-some percent AIDS-free by Christmas if we follow this.”

Phoenix TV station KPNX anchor Mark Curtis challenged Steven Anderson this week, and even asked the hatemonger how he would react if he had a gay child.
