International DJs and extraordinary dancers riled up crowds of people at Old Port of Montrealduring the first two nights of Divers/Cité. Thursday night’s Flexx event was all about modern dance. DJ Miss Dee Jayne set the scene for performers like Natacha Filiatraut, Sarah Lefebvre, Dave St-Pierre, Virginia Brunelle, and David Albert-Toth in the first official night of this year’s party at theQuai Jacques-Cartier. Friday night, after the Friends for Life Bike Rally riders returned from their six-day ride from Toronto to Montreal, DJs Patrick Guay and D-Formation took the main stage and kicked off the much-anticipated Vendredi Tribal night at the festival. The crowd continued to grow until Spain’s popular Chus & Ceballos, the pioneers of Iberican Sound, took over with the perfect their distinct blend of house, techno, and percussion. When the festival grounds started to close up for the night Chus & Ceballos took the beats to Velvet-Auberge St-Gabriel for a special Divers/Cité after party.

Divers/Cité is an arts and music festival that celebrates the value of diversity including La Grande Danse, one of North America’s largest outdoor House music demonstrations.
